Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the Iron Off mobile app (the "Application"), created by Amel Muminovic (the "Service Provider"). This policy explains what information the Application collects, how it's used, and the choices you have.

Information Collection and Use

When you create an account and use the Application, we collect:

• Account information — your email address, and optionally your name. If you sign in with Google, your name, email, and profile photo are provided to us by Google.
• Household data — the names of households you create, and the email addresses of anyone you invite to join one.
• Devices and check records — the names you give your appliances, and a timestamped history of who confirmed each one off.
• Photos — an optional photo you can attach when confirming a check, stored privately (see "Third Party Access" below).
• Basic technical data — IP address and standard request logs, kept for security and debugging.

Guest Mode

Iron Off can be used without creating an account. In Guest Mode, your devices, checks, and photos are stored only in local storage on your phone and are never sent to our servers. Uninstalling the app, or clearing app data, permanently erases everything you added in Guest Mode.

Household Sharing

If you create or join a household with other people, the devices, checks, and photos added to that household are visible to its other members and admins — that's what makes the shared "has someone already checked this" feature work. Only add people to a household you're comfortable sharing that activity with.

Third Party Access

We use a small number of service providers to operate the Application. None of them use your information for their own purposes — each holds it only to perform the service listed:

• Amazon Web Services (S3) — stores check photos privately. Photos are never public; the Application generates short-lived links to view them, valid for a few minutes.
• Brevo — sends account emails: verification, password reset, and household invites.
• Google — if you choose "Continue with Google," Google handles authentication and shares your basic profile with us. We never see or store your Google password.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights or safety of any person, or to investigate fraud. The Application does not sell your information.

Opt-Out Rights

You can stop all data collection by using Guest Mode instead of an account, or by uninstalling the Application. You can delete an existing account and its data at any time — see our Delete Your Account page.

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your data is removed as described on the Delete Your Account page.

Children

The Application is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at support@ironoff.app and we will remove it.

Security

Passwords are never stored in plain text. Check photos are stored in a private bucket with no public access. All traffic between the Application and our servers is encrypted in transit.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the Application after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
