Terms of Service — Iron Off

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Iron Off mobile app (the "Application"), provided by Amel Muminovic ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Application in Guest Mode, you agree to these Terms.

The Service

Iron Off helps you record that you've checked an appliance is off, and share that record with people in your household. It is a personal record-keeping and reminder tool.

Iron Off is not a safety device and does not verify anything about your appliances itself. It only records what a person tells it. The Application cannot detect whether an appliance is actually off, cannot sense heat, smoke, or electrical current, and is not a substitute for physically checking your appliances yourself. Never rely on a check record — your own or someone else's — in place of checking an appliance in person.

Accounts

You need an account to use most features of the Application, or you can use Guest Mode without one (see our Privacy Policy for how Guest Mode differs). You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account, including check records created by anyone you've added to your household.

Households and Shared Content

When you create or join a household, other members can see the devices, check history, and photos added to that household, and can add or remove devices and checks themselves. You're responsible for who you invite. We're not responsible for how another member of your household uses information visible to them through it.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Application for anything unlawful, or to harass or harm another person;
Attempt to access another user's account or household without authorization;
Upload photos containing anyone else's personal information without their consent;
Interfere with or disrupt the Application's servers or infrastructure.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Your Content

You retain ownership of any photos and device names you add. By uploading a photo, you grant us a limited license to store and display it back to you and your household members, solely to operate the Application. We don't use your content for any other purpose.

Account Deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time from within the Application. See our Delete Your Account page for details on what's deleted and how.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Application is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that check records are accurate, complete, or up to date at any given moment.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including property damage, personal injury, or loss — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Application, including reliance on any check record it stores. Use of the Application does not replace your own judgment about whether an appliance is actually off.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the Application after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
